I Free Shots sono una band di Genova che, dal 2014, fonde pop contemporaneo, swing ed elettronica in un linguaggio originale e riconoscibile. Dopo l’album d’esordio Vorrei tanto dir, il gruppo conquista un pubblico internazionale grazie alla rilettura electroswing di Dance Monkey, diventata rapidamente virale.
La collaborazione con il producer berlinese Wolfgang Lohr porta alla pubblicazione dei remix di Notte in terza fila e Bella di notte per l’etichetta Electro Swing Thing, oltre alla reinterpretazione di Parla più piano / In cerca di Te, celebre tema de Il Padrino, che supera il milione e mezzo di ascolti in tutto il mondo.
La crescente attenzione internazionale conduce la band anche all’estero, fino a rappresentare l’Italia con tre concerti all’Expo di Dubai. Negli ultimi anni hanno pubblicato i singoli Volare e Dale Boca, quest’ultimo dedicato ai 120 anni del Boca Juniors, storica squadra argentina fondata dalla comunità genovese.
Nel corso della loro carriera i Free Shots si sono esibiti su alcuni dei più importanti palcoscenici italiani, tra cui JazzMi, Andersen Festival, Royal Swing Fest, Goa Boa Festival, Triennale di Milano e Ballarò Buskers Festival.
Free Shots is a band from Genoa, Italy, that has been blending contemporary pop, swing and electronic influences into a distinctive musical style since 2014. Following the release of their debut album, Vorrei tanto dir, the band gained international attention with their electroswing reinterpretation of Dance Monkey, which quickly went viral.
An ongoing collaboration with Berlin-based producer Wolfgang Lohr has led to the release of remixes of Notte in terza fila and Bella di notte on the Electro Swing Thing label, as well as a new version of Parla più piano / In cerca di Te, the iconic theme from The Godfather, which has surpassed 1.5 million streams worldwide.
As their international audience continues to grow, Free Shots have taken their music well beyond Italy, representing the country with three successful performances at Expo Dubai. In recent years, they have also released the singles Volare and Dale Boca, the latter celebrating the 120th anniversary of Boca Juniors, the legendary Buenos Aires football club founded by Genoese immigrants.
Over the years, Free Shots have performed across France, the United Arab Emirates and on some of Italy’s most prestigious stages, including JazzMi, Andersen Festival, Royal Swing Fest, Goa Boa Festival, Triennale Milano and Ballarò Buskers Festival.
