David Krakauer

David Krakauer, uno dei musicisti più importanti e influenti della nuova musica ebraica contemporanea e figura centrale della nuova ondata di klezmer, è conosciuto soprattutto per il suo suono amplificato che spinge i confini del klezmer includendo elementi di jazz, rock, funk e hip-hop. 

In questo programma, Krakauer presenta versioni acustiche delle sue composizioni originali, mescolate a brani classici del repertorio klezmer tradizionale. È un’opportunità per ascoltare da vicino e in modo intimo il suono distintivo di Krakauer, completamente “unplugged”. Il pubblico sarà testimone di Terkish Yale V’Yove Tanz e di una straordinaria sintonia mentale tra questi musicisti con cui David suona da anni.

David Krakauer, one of the most important and influential musicians in contemporary Jewish music and a central figure in the new wave of klezmer, is best known for his amplified sound that pushes the boundaries of klezmer by incorporating elements of jazz, rock, funk, and hip-hop.

In this program, Krakauer presents acoustic versions of his original compositions, blended with classic pieces from the traditional klezmer repertoire. It is a unique opportunity to experience Krakauer’s distinctive sound up close and in an intimate, fully “unplugged” setting. The audience will witness Terkish Yale V’Yove Tanz and the extraordinary musical connection among these musicians, with whom David has played for many years.
