Non si tratta di un’operazione celebrativa – come dichiara la band, «non siamo avvezzi a operazioni nostalgiche o celebrative, perché per noi rimane fondamentale il qui e ora» – ma della naturale evoluzione di un repertorio che continua a mantenere una forte connessione emotiva con il pubblico.

Spinto dall’entusiasmo suscitato dalla ristampa dell’album, il gruppo ha deciso di riportare questi brani al centro di un nuovo progetto live. «Li abbiamo riarrangiati mantenendone l’anima e l’intensità», racconta Alioscia, «li abbiamo contestualizzati nell’oggi. È bello riscoprire il potenziale di quello che hai fatto e riuscire a riallacciare un legame non nostalgico tra passato e presente».

A distanza di trent’anni, Sempre Più Vicini continua a suonare sorprendentemente attuale. Più che una semplice raccolta di brani, il disco unisce musica, estetica, cinema e letteratura in un’unica visione espressiva, confermando ancora oggi Casino Royale come uno dei riferimenti generazionali più innovativi della scena musicale italiana.

Inspired by the enthusiastic response to the album’s reissue, the band decided to place these songs back at the heart of a new live production. “We’ve rearranged them while preserving their soul and intensity,” says Alioscia. “We’ve placed them in today’s context. It’s exciting to rediscover the potential of what you’ve created and reconnect past and present without nostalgia.”

Thirty years after its original release, Sempre Più Vicini still sounds remarkably contemporary. More than a collection of songs, the album brings together music, visual aesthetics, cinema and literature within a coherent artistic vision, confirming Casino Royale as one of the most innovative and influential bands of their generation in Italian music.
