""Francesco Cangi & The Lonely Rockets is the first project as a leader by the trombonist and multi-instrumentalist from Florence Francesco Cangi, leading a power trio composed of Antonio Amabile on keyboards and synths and Donald Renda on drums.

The debut album What if the Universe..? features tracks entirely composed, conceived, and played by Francesco Cangi: a project born from the need to express his musical identity in a context full of influences, merging advanced jazz training and a strong pop rock background, in search of a unique, distinctive, and catchy sound. With the participation of great guests such as Riccardo Onori, Dario Cecchini, and Sabina Sciubba, and with the artistic collaboration of his brother Samuele Cangi, What if the Universe..? includes tracks ranging from instrumental new jazz to electronic funk, contaminated by the massive use of synthesizers, powerful melodies, robust brass section, and lots of groove: always and rigorously at the service of music.
